It’s the same fans, same people. At the Meet & Greet I recognized half the fans, they’re all from the New York, Tri-State area. East Coasters who are so supportive of us. Any one of our shows, I think this goes for myself, Joe Moses, and if any of these guys have a solo act at any point, the fans are always heavily Starkid. The tickets always go on sale online first, and our existence is online, so the people who watch Glee aren’t going to find these as fast as Starkid fans.
Darren Criss, before the evening Irving Plaza Starkid show, on what the fans were like at this Irving show compared to his last, solo show at the venue. This outtake didn’t make it into the Billboard piece, but the insight on Starkid and their fans is worth sharing, especially in light of Gaby Dunn’s recent piece on Joe Moses in the NYT Magazine.
